WELCOME TO HOMESTEAD FARM

Homestead Farm is a 200 Acre working farm in Southern Warren County, NC, that is open free to the public on Saturdays 8 AM-6 PM from April through October.

Our Mission is to offer the public greater opportunities for recreation, education, and spiritual growth. With over 8 miles of wooded trails for hiking and biking, we hope visitors enjoy the wonder and beauty of our natural setting.

Exploring the 10-acre botanical garden, with over 75 varieties of flowering trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and annuals, along with 20 acres of livestock pasture, visitors are encouraged to grow in their understanding and appreciation of our state's rich natural environment.

And finally, with its outdoor chapel, Veterans’ Memorial Garden, pavilion, greenhouses, and numerous benches scattered throughout the property, Homestead Farm offers visitors an opportunity to rest, gather their thoughts, consider their blessings, and quiet their hearts before God.

Guardian’s Haven Project

We are honored to be the home base for the non-profit organization, “Guardian’s Haven Project,” which hopes to serve military veterans and first responders using equine and horticultural therapy programs on the farm during the week.

Steve and Susan Bender started Homestead Flower Farm 40 years ago and sold cut flower bouquets to the public for most of that time while raising 6 children who have been a blessing to their lives. One of their children, Erin, an army veteran, who served in Afghanistan, and who will be overseeing the Veterans program on Homestead Farm, lives on the farm also with her husband, Tim Chism, and their two children.
